This is the fourth movement of The Lullaby Project Suite, written for the Felipe Salles' Interconnections Ensemble. Instrumentation includes 5 saxes (1 alto/flute and 1 soprano/flute, 2 tenors/clarinets, bari/bass clarinet), 4 trumpets (with mutes), 4 trombones (with mutes), guitar, vibraphone, piano, bass, and drum set. Inspired by the Brazilian lullabies tradition, it features bari sax and fluguelhorn as soloists. It starts from polyrhythmic piano intro feature into contemporary hip-hop groove, and moves, through metric modulations, back and forth to 7/4 and 6/4. Explorations of modal harmonic concepts from impressionism and minimalism are also are also used.
