Edition: Jazz Studio Orchestra Arrangement with Vocal

Description: Ballad - Difficult

Publisher: Jazz Lines Publications

Originally written by Lionel Bart for the musical Oliver, this Robert Farnon arrangement was featured on Tony Bennett's 1968 Christmas record Snowfall: the Tony Bennett Christmas Album. Farnon's exquisite and reflective score follows the joyful Christmas medley that precedes it on the album. The key to this arrangement and all of Farnon's scores is to make sure everybody is listening intently and achieves the proper balance. Also, a conductor is a must to maintain the flowing feel of the arrangement.

This arrangement was prepared from the original set of parts used during the 1968 recording session - this is not a transcription.

Note: as aluded to above, the introduction of this arrangement is actually the last five bars of the Christmas Medley that precedes it on the album.
