Edition: Latin Jazz Percussion Quartet Arrangement
Description: Latin [Guaguanco] - Medium Difficult
Publisher: 3-2 Music
This chart is a "dream piece," a ballad-like work over a guaguanco feel, drawing its basis from reflections upon the time in medieval Spain (Andalusid caliphate, 9th C.), when there was much cooperation between the Christian, Jewish, and Muslim communities. Imagine a government where the Grand Vizier of a Muslim Caliph was Jewish (Hasdai Ibn Shaprut). "Sevilla" is intended to suggest a mythic place, or a mythic possibility where today's cultural diversities might co-exist in peace. Performance time: 8:15

Percussion 2: marimba, vibes, xylophone, bongo bell
