Orlando features some challenging altered minor blues-like changes done in the style of Art Blakey's classic Blue Note recordings. A medium-fast swing section alternates with a Latin bridge using the traditional AABA format. There are solo changes for trumpet, trombone or rhythm section. A surprise half-time tempo change on the outhead leads to a spacey, ghost-like solo vamp for mixed soloists before the piece closes. 5 saxes, 4 trumpets, 4 trombones, piano, bass, guitar and drums.
