A lively and exciting jazz samba, the tune appeared first on Woody James album Jazz Crystallizations. This arrangement was commissioned by Los Angeles City College for their Studio Jazz Band, and also recorded by them. It features a duo of trumpet and tenor sax playing the melody, with each blowing a couple of jazz choruses. Then things are topped off with a very challenging ensemble chorus. Although written for six trumpets (soloist plus five section players) it can be played effectively with five. The first sax part is a Bb soprano. Playing time is approximately six minutes.
