This is a fun chart in a moderate easy going two beat Samba/Latin groove in the key of f minor. The tempo should be around 112 BPM+ for the half note. It is a tenor saxophone feature, doing the melody and solo, with a piano solo and an optional drum solo. The melody and chord changes are easy with typical Latin/samba rhythms in the rhythm section and in the horn parts. It is a crowd pleaser and can be used on any professional or college jazz concert. Solos can be modified to include anyone in the band depending on what the director wants to do. Trumpet highest note: one written high D. Instrumentation: Four trumpets, four trombones, (the fourth being a bass trombone) two altos, two tenors, one baritone sax. Rhythm: piano, bass, guitar, and drums. No doubles.
