Allen Carter's "Bossa No Mas" features several horn a capella sections, so it's important for your saxes and brass to have excellent time feels in order to be able to play this chart comfortably. The pleaaant melody has a harmonic frame that is loosely based on "Chega De Saudade," with just enough twists and turns to make it its own thing. In addition to the tricky ensemble passages, there is an improvised flute solo that will require a technically adept soloist.
