This moody ballad from Allen Carter is a lovely and sensitive ballad feature for flugelhorn soloist. The brass ranges are moderate for the most part, but there are some occasionally tricky double-time background riffs in the saxophones. Make sure your ensemble remains supportive of the soloist at all times, as well as keeping the volume to a low level in order for the post-solo shout section to have as big an emotional impact as possible.
