AUGUST NOTES (August 22nd Update): The latest brand new Jazz Lines Publications Bing Crosby holiday releases are his fabulous rendition of I'll Be Home for Christmas and Adeste Fidelis (O Come all Ye Faithful). Also new is Bing Crosby's Silent Night, another long-cherished holiday recording of his; this one with the Ken Darby Singers. As is our 2022 edition of 1949's Mele Kalikimaka. This holiday gem has been covered by a wide variety of artists over the years. Despite this, the version recorded by Bing Crosby and the Andrews Sisters in 1950 seems to be the one that has withstood the test of time the best, making a number of notable appearances in pop culture over the years, perhaps most notably in the 1989 film National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Earlier this month we released a holiday classic that has appeared in countless settings since its release in 1943, the Bing Crosby/Andrews Sisters version of Jingle Bells. This arrangement will serve as a delightful feature for vocalists and instrumentalists alike. All of these were prepared for publication using the original parts from the recording sessions.

We also present another from the library of our good friend Terry Gibbs, Bill Holman's challenging arrangement of After You've Gone as written for the Dream Band.

We are very pleased to introduce the Callam Au Series of big band arrangements. We have just published all ten of the fantastic charts he wrote for he and Louis Dowdeswell's Louis & Cal's On Stage! album, and we have a specially-discounted set of them all right below as well.

Antonio Carlos Jobim is among the most frequently played artists in our office, and we are thrilled to announce the publication of four more charts from his Wave album, all below in traditional paper and PDF download form. One of the greatest records from one of jazz's truly seminal figures, Wave is incredibly beautiful and unique, and, as is often said, the only flaw is that it is too short at just over 31 minutes! Right below is also a brand new discounted set of all five charts that we now publish from this Bossa Nova landmark.

SEPTEMBER NOTES Brand new this month is the Jazz Lines Publications re-edited and re-engraved edition of Frank Foster's Simone, joining the many other fabulous charts we offer from this giant of jazz arranging. We are also pleased to announce the recent release of Lady in Lace as arranged by Frank for the Count Basie Orchestra. Also new this month is the latest of our re-engraved/re-edited reissues of Dave Pell's classic octet charts, Shim-Mi-Sha-Wabble, arranged by Med Flory. We also have right below Tank! by John Wasson, the newest release from his Strata Big Band (please click here to view them all).

NEW PDF DOWNLOADABLE ARRANGEMENTS NOTES A new Mike Tomaro arrangement of the Billy Strayhorn classic Lush Life means that we now have 32 brand new and newly-available PDF downloadable arrangements this month. The brand new ones are listed below; please click here to view all of September's newly listed PDF downloadable arrangements (these include all brand new ones as well as previously available ones which we have just added to our listings). Today we also added yet another Ellington classic in PDF form, Sophisticated Lady; earlier this month we had previously released Black and Tan Fantasy, Don't Get Around Much Anymore, Ko-Ko, Such Sweet Thunder, Things Ain't What They Used To Be, and Tutti for Cootie as we continue to grow the PDF downloadable Jazz at Lincoln Center Ellington/Strayhorn library.
