A simple ballad evoking bittersweet feelings of nostalgia and longing. The entire piece was built around the central solo vamp, which is basically the two alternating chords from the first part of Erik Satie's Gymnopédie No. 1.

Appropriate for younger bands. The trumpet soloist does not improvise, and the alto saxophone solo (easily distributed elsewhere) has very easy minimal changes. The ensemble parts are sight-readable even for high school groups. As recorded by the Russell Scarbrough Big Band on FUN TIMES.
