Yada starts with saxes with soprano lead playing the sax soli head with the drums in brushes and bass parroting this sax line then dropping into a solid for on the next sax chorus. Lots of cool rhythms on the soli. The solo section stays in 4 for the tenor solo then the saxes start the background with the brass coming in later to finish out the sax chorus. The first ensemble is quiet then the second ensemble is pretty rockin' dropping back to sax sax melody that was the head to finish it off. This chart has got lots of dynamics to work with from very soft to really loud. A tip of the cap to the great Thad Jones on this one.
