Edition: Jazz Big Band Arrangement with Vocal (or Reed feature)
Description: Slow Swing - Medium
Publisher: Jazz Lines Publications
This arrangement of What’s Your Story, Morning Glory? was written for Andy Kirk to feature a male vocalist (Pha Terrell) and clarinet (John Harrington). We have adapated the arrangement so that it may be played as clarinet (or alto sax) feature instead. The vocal part is cued in reed 2 in the event that you wish to play this as an instrumental. In addition, we have included an alternate reed 2 part that avoid the clarinet double, allowing the reed played to remain on alto throughout. Also featured is a tenor saxophone solo. The key is Db. This was recently recorded by the Dutch Jazz Orchestra on their tribute to Mary Lou Williams.
