Commissioned for the Esperanza High School Jazz Band, "Welcome to Zingtown" is a roaring big band arrangement that is both challenging and crowd-pleasing. The melody, set to the changes of "How High the Moon," is played by the sax section (a-la "Four Brothers.") There is solo space for a trumpet and a tenor sax. The chorus long a cappella section is followed by a huge shout chorus. This arrangement screams and is sure to be one of you favorites.
