This is actually a waltz written for the flugelhorn but it was recorded on soprano sax. This was written for Gary Halopoff who passed away recently way to soon. This starts quietly in 1 with drum brushes and soft backgrounds with flugelhorn and buckets in the bones behind the flugelhorn melody. The second chorus drops in to a 3 feel with the flugels on the melody. The solo section for the flugel starts in a 1 feel and moves to a driving 3. The ensemble starts with the saxes in counterpoint then the brass come in to finish it out leading back into the flugel melody and finishing quietly. This is a pretty tune for the flugel player with the cool sound.
