Edition: Jazz Big Band Arrangement with Vocal
Description: Swing - Medium
Publisher: Jazz Lines Publications
This arrangement of Walkin' My Baby Back Home was performed by Frank Sinatra on his CBS television program on March 17, 1951. But, what was not previously known is that Neal Hefti wrote the arrangement. Neal was one of the group of arrangers that Axel Stordahl turned to when he needed arrangements completed quickly.
This is a simple, but swinging arrangement of the well-known standard - and the only time Sinatra performed this tune in his career. There are no saxophone doubles and the vocal key is C. The sample audio included on this page is a midi recording - we do not have the television recording available at this time.
This publication was based Neal Hefti's pencil score and the original set of parts used for the television broadcast.
