This authentically written work is a tribute to cultural unity using 4 contrasting Afro-Cuban styles seamlessly connected: (1) Guaguancó, (2) Son Montuno, (3) Bolero (4) Afro-Cuban 6/8. It was adapted for big band from Michele's Wind Symphony premiered at 2023 CBDNA. This jazz suite adaptation was premiered by UNT One O'Clock Lab Band in 2023. Minimum percussion requirements include drum set, congas and aux percussion (aux part can be covered by an extra wind player). All rhythm section parts are fully notated.
