This movement is from Oliver Nelson's work The Kennedy Dream, written and recorded in 1967. The instrumentation of the arrangement was originally 5 woodwinds, 2 Horns in F, 2 violins, Viola, Cello, Harp, Piano/Harpsichord, Bass, Timpani, Drum Set. When Oliver went to perform this in Holland he added trumpet, trombone, and tuba parts to this arrangement. Both sets of parts are included with this publication so that it may be played by a conventional big band (with reed doubles).
