The Dancing Giant is a medium swing chart written over an extended blues progression. The chart moves back and forth between C & F# blues and features a trumpet and bass solo. The ensemble section is fun and challenging for most ensembles and opens up into a dixieland-like shout section. This chart has the lead alto sax doubling on soprano sax throughout. The lead trumpet part goes up to a written C and is very playable by most trumpet players.
