This big band composition by Harold Sherman is an extremely useful educational tool and solo vehicle for any jazz program. Not only is it a challenging read and solo workout, it is an excellent sound check piece to play when checking levels before a concert. It takes players on a journey of 2-5-1 progressions in all twelve keys, and the way it builds from single player to full band makes it easy for any sound engineer to get a reliable mix during a play-through without having to stop and start.

Recorded at Eastern Kentucky University in-house recording studio by the EKU Jazz Ensemble, with special guest trumpeter Scott Heersche, led by Director Dr. Larry Nelson. Engineered and produced by Joel Nelson Productions.
