Slow swing with pedal point and modal harmonies and a distinctive melody, presented by muted trumpet and baritone saxophone. There is a solo for alto 1 (baritone saxophone on the recording) which leads to an exciting, richly-scored shout chorus, a return of the melody and a relaxed ending.
