Here is the classic version of St. Louis Blues as performed by Glenn Miller and the US Army Air Force band. The original arrangement was co-written by Jerry Gray, Ray McKinley and Perry Burgett. This transcription features the trumpet and tenor solos as originally played by Bobby Nichols and Vince Carbone. The fill-in alto solos (by Hank Freeman) are there too, as is a fully notated drum part, exactly as played by Ray McKinley. This chart is written for a 5-4-4-4 big band line-up, and a full 4 piece trumpet section is required for your band is to reproduce this definitive Miller version. There are no sax doubles.
Trombones 1-4: B4, A4, A4, E4
