"Speed Trap" is a briskly-paced arrangement that alternates back and forth between swing and Latin feels on multiple occasions. The corkscrewing melody is handled by the saxophones and accompanied by a string of punchy, syncopated brass hits. The two solos (tenor sax and trumpet) feature chord changes based off of a mash-up of "Tune Up" and "Countdown" with an additional modal vamp on the end. This chart is technically quite challenging, but when executed properly is a thrilling and unpredictable ride from start to finish. Length: Approx. 6 minutes
