Runnin' With A full Tank is a medium tempo funk tune that begins with the opening octinato bass line which anchors the song. However, it soon evolves into a driving double time rock feel that features two trombones duelling it out to the bitter end... This is followed by a percussion solo which brings us back to the outhead, but not before a call and response vocal section between a vocal soloist ( band member?) and the band (and/or audience) that gets everybody vocally riffing on the title Runnin' On a Full Tank. It finishes with a funky unexpected pointillistic figure that caps the piece. Trumpets to E and Trombones to C. Medium Difficult.
