Edition: Jazz Big Band Arrangement
Description: Swing - Difficult
Publisher: Jazz Lines Publications
This Cole Porter standard was originally written in 1936 for the musical Red, Hot and Blue. This version was recorded by Ella Fitzgerald in 1956 for her Cole Porter Song Book album, arranged by Buddy Bregman. This is a relatively bombastic arrangement that features a 16-bar instrumental interlude. After the recording session Bregman created an expanded version of this arrangement for Ella to use for her live performances. Added were French horn and string parts - those have been included with our publication but are purely optional. The vocal key is G.
