Edition: Jazz Big Band Arrangement
Description: Waltz - Difficult
Publisher: Walrus Music Publishing
Named for a famous London flea market, John La Barbera's "Portobello Road" was performed but never recorded in studio by the Buddy Rich Orchestra. It is a hard-charging, intensely swinging jazz waltz with some slightly unpredictable chord changes and an overall raucous atmosphere befitting its inspiration. Trumpet and tenor saxophone are featured soloists. Brass parts are fairly rangey and will require a strong section to pull off.
