QUINTET INSTRUMENTATION

This up-tempo swinger is great for showing off technical prowess. The technically and rhythmically challenging lines lie well on the trumpet and the saxophone. The rhythm section parts also demand concentration and close interaction with the front line. SOLOS: These changes rarely go where you'd expect them to. They contain some II-Vs but not in their usual context. They're a real challenge and ear opener for an experienced soloist.
