Rhythm Section: Piano, Bass, Drums, Guitar Includes full score. Overdrive is a challenging arrangement for any group at the tempo JJ used (quarter note = 296), but it also works great at a much slower tempo, and it's great for getting your rhythm section together. The 48-measure head alternates between Latin and swing in 8-measure sections. There are solo backgrounds and a different setting of the melody at the end. SOLOS: The solo changes, which explore some common keys, feature three 16-bar phrases which are all different, but with similar harmonic content. These are great changes for thoughtful soloing in which material from the first section can easily be modified and used again in the later sections.
