A tenacious jazz peice with an infectious 4 bar ostinoto bass line that glues everything together leaving freedom for the horn lines that hover overhead. Not too rangy although there are 1 or 2 high Ds written for 1st trumpet and there are no doubles. The title indicates that there is a 'perfect' tempo for this at 195 bpm. Medium difficult.
