This is a reduction of the double quartet version. The chord progression is modal with a folk-like melody in 11/8. Solo is in the tenor where the groove moves to 12/8. The title is after a feisty lap dog that looks like a sheep herder’s border collie. This quartet arrangement was premiered at the World Saxophone Congress in Zagreb, Croatia. No quartet recording is available; audio is of the double quartet and very close.
