This is the last song written by George and Ira Gershwin shortly before George's untimely death from a brain tumor. I played this version with Bill Evans countless times and was always intrigued with the details of his interpretation. There are notated versions of Larry Bunker's brilliant drum fills, fills that became integral to the way we played the piece. The chorus Bill played with repeated left hand chords has been harmonized and orchestrated to work effectively with the full ensemble.
