Edition: Jazz Little Big Band Arrangement with Vocal

Description: Swing - Medium

Publisher: Jazz Lines Publications

Here's a swinging chart of the Christmas standard as arranged by Frank DeVol for Ella Fitzgerald's 1960 album Ella Wishes You a Swinging Christmas. This arrangement features a standard sax section along with trumpet, trombone, and rhythm section. Featured is a tenor saxophone solo. Note: the percussion part (vibraphone/bongo drums) is optional. For the recording, the vibraphone part was not played and instead the percussionist played bongo drums throughout. The vocal key modulates from C to Db.

This publication was prepared from the original set of parts that were used for the 1960 recording session - this is not a transcription.
