Kelo, named for JJ's son Kevin Louis, features the drummer (Art Blakey on the recording) in and out of the rest of the ensemble's figures. It's also full of syncopations - especially in the 2nd & 3rd horn parts - that don't look or sound difficult but require a good sense of time and musical maturity to play convincingly. SOLOS: The solos are over representative bebop changes with many II-Vs.
