This Tom Kubis arrangement of Jingle Bells sees the holiday classic get a thorough re-working, with Kubis throwing out just about everything in his bag of tricks to keep both the band and listeners on their toes. Following a slow, grandiose introductory fanfare with a screaming trumpet solo on top of the ensemble, the chart settles into a medium tempo swing feel and largely becomes a melodic feature for, of all instruments, the bass trombone. The melody and shout chorus are separated by a hip-hop infused breakdown section that also functions as the arrangement's conclusion. There are no improvised solos in this chart, so it can serve as a fine feature vehicle for your entire band.
