“If I Gave My Heart” is a gorgeous swing ballad for younger bands. Lots of ensemble writing will help the band learn to play together, but there is also space for a short sax soli and a short brass soli. No improv is required, but your piano player gets to shine with lots of written fills between melody phrases. While written at an easy level, “If I Gave My Heart” is perfect for any ensemble that wants a ballad and a chance to take a little pressure off those chops!! Keep swingin’!

Can be played with three saxes, two trumpets, one trombone, and piano/bass/drums as minimum instrumentation; please see score sample as provided.
