Vern Sielert does it again! Here is a romp-stompin' medium blues that will please you, your band, and your audiences. Written as a tribute to Bob Curnow, and premiered at a tribute concert for Curnow by the Spokane Jazz Orchestra, Ichiban Blues (Ichiban is the name of a club where the Curnow Big Band gigged for many years) starts and closes with a cool duet of baritone saxophone and muted trumpet. What happens in the middle is hot, swinging, exciting original big band blues, composed by one of the best big band writers out there. Your band will love this, and so will your audiences. Solo space is very flexible with changes written on most parts.
