This is a reduction of the double quartet version. After a brief introduction, the bari has a solo over blues changes, then a Hard Bop-like melody in the tenor. Solos follow for soprano and alto. A modal section over a “Night Train”-like groove leads to a Bebop soli and a Street Beat tenor solo. This quartet arrangement was premiered at the World Saxophone Congress in Zagreb, Croatia. No quartet recording is available; audio is of the double quartet and very close.
