Description: Swing - Medium
Publisher: Lush Life Music
"I Dreamt I Dwelt In Harlem" was not recorded in the studio until January 1941, though the Glenn Miller band aired this tune half a dozen times over the radio in November and December 1940. This chart has been transcribed from the radio broadcast that went out live from the Hotel Pennsylvania's Cafe Rouge on November 23rd 1940. There are improvised solo spots for Tenor, Trumpet, Trombone, Clarinet and Piano. As the chart closes, there is an extended 32 measure Trumpet solo that we have written across all four Trumpets in the section, so that each player can take an 8 measure solo if desired. The Clarinet solo is taken by the Alto 2 chair, and the Baritone doubles Alto for most of the chart.
