A Medium tempo Bossa Nova by Joe Riposo. This chart features Alto Saxophone and Trumpet playing a lyrical melodic line in a duet format. Later in the chart both have the opportunity to show off their improvisational skills. Riposo uses rich harmonies through out the composition. After the opening statement the chart goes into a swinging double time feel. A brass shout sections concludes with the trumpet-improvised solo. To set up the alto improvised solo the chart moves into a sax section shout section. Hidden Soul ends as it started back to the half time Bossa Nova tempo. Trpt. to one written high E. (5, 4, 4, 3).
