This lovely bossa nova from Tom Kubis is an excellent way to feature your star trombone soloist. The melody is initially handled by trombone solo, before a brief key change sees the flugels take over for half before the trombonist takes the spotlight back. There isn't so much of a shout section after the improvised trombone solo as there is a clever re-thinking of the initial melody. Other than a few tricky fingering passages in the trumpets, this arrangement isn't overly difficult.
