Very entertaining and exciting full ensemble setting, featuring tenor sax and trombone. 12/8 quasi Afro-Cuban feel. A gradual slow build in intensity starts with a piano solo with the just rhythm section. This is followed by the first melody chorus, which adds in instruments throughout, continuing into a second melody chorus with numerous musical elements happening at once to build energy into an exciting peak. Following that, the trombone and tenor sax both have chord changes for a full solo chorus each. The solo sections starts each chorus with a loose, open feel that gradually adds horn backgrounds, while the groove fills in and builds intensity to the end of each solo. After a brief, rhythmic full ensemble interlude, the piece ends with the full ensemble trading forte 2-bar hits with the tenor sax and trombone alternating 2-bar improvised solo hits.
