Dreamers presents a musical narrative about the ongoing plight of hundreds of thousands of undocumented individuals who entered the US as children. Their path to citizenship has yet to be determined by the US government despite the fact that they are now young adults who have basically lived their entire lives in the US. An introductory choral leads to haunting minor key passage. This gives way to a bass solo over ambiguous harmony and time. Eventually this coalesces into a fugue that resolves with a final haunting musical gesture.
