Since my wife and I both completed our graduate work, we have relocated a number of times. Each December as we gear up for the holidays, it leaves us thinking, "I wonder where we will be in a December from Now?" This jazz ballad featuring alto saxophone depicts that feeling and the longing to have a permanent home. Composed in G Major, the saxophone soloist has the opportunity to embellish the beautiful thirty-two-measure melody and improvise over the harmonic scheme.
