A great chase and frantic escape, angular melodic lines over complex harmonies make this composition challenging. Solos in soprano and baritone with an extended bari cadenza are followed by a dramatic shout. One can imagine the adrenaline felt by the escaping robbers in this third-stream-ish work. Premiered at the World Saxophone Congress in St. Andrews, Scotland.
