A jazz club called Casa DiLisa back in the '90s commissioned the main theme for this chart. Casa DiLisa is an exciting fast jazz samba. After the samba section it breaks into a solo section with a hard driving straight-ahead jazz feel. The whole chart is written on basically four chord changes similar to Maiden Voyage creating a great modal harmonic environment. Fun changes to improve on. The first improved solo is for tenor saxophone establishing the jazz section. After the shout chorus, the 3rd trpt. gets a change to share the jazz environment. These solo section can be opened for additional solos if desired. The chart returns to the jazz samba feel for the out chorus.

1st Trpt. only goes up to Bb5 and C#6 on the last chord. Reasonable range for all players making this a playable chart for any high school or college jazz ensemble.
