From the composer: "This is a new little big band arrangement of my 2014 big band chart Cantaloupes, Aisle 1. The playback is the big band version, but this tentet chart follows the recording exactly, the only difference being 6 horns instead of 13 with solos still for trombone and tenor sax. On his maiden voyage in search of cantaloupes on an enchanted isle, Captain Herb visited a floating Costco where he discovered he needn’t find an island, he could instead find cantaloupes, aisle 1. This tune is clearly a tribute to the captain and the jazz rock style he developed in the mid 20th century."
