Description: Shuffle - Medium Difficult

From arranger John La Barbera: "Brother Griff McSmith" is dedicated to all of the organ trios that were part of my early, live jazz listening experiences. The title is a composite of the names of the artists I listened to in the famous "Pythodd Club" in Rochester, NY. Jimmy Smith, Jack McDuff, Jimmy McGriff, Johnny Hammond Smith and others. It's a stomping, back beat shuffle with plenty of open blowing space for your best soloists. Guitar should be familiar with the classic "Charleston" groove. All marcato (^) markings are played as a short, fat note. Choruses at 41 & 65 can be opened for solos with backgrounds last time and taking the last ending.
