OCTOBER NOTES: (October 24th Update): We very proudly present another fabulous holiday chart from the Jazz at Lincoln Center's Big Band Holidays album, Zat You Santa Claus as arranged by Victor Goines.
Also new is Peggy Lee's version of Why Don't You Do Right as written by Billy May. We also have another Nat 'King' Cole classic as written by Gordon Jenkins, the arranger he felt he worked best with, When I Fall In Love. We have another new arrangement featuring the Andrews Sisters and Bing Crosby, South Rampart Street Parade. Previously released was one from them that reached number 2 on the charts in 1944, the John Scott Trotter arrangement of Louis Jordan and Billy Austin's Is You Is, Or Is You Ain't (Ma' Baby). Finally (for now!) from Bing we also have Route 66. Please see below for all of these.
Also new is the eight arrangement set of charts by Sammy Nestico as written for Count Basie's Basie Straight Ahead album, available in PDF downloadable form for the very first time. We also recently introduced two brand new specially-priced multi-chart PDF downloadable sets: one each for Hal Leonard's Jazz Combo Pak and Little Big Band Series of arrangements. Both of these offer fabulous sets of music for teaching or performance; diverse collections of some of the most memorable music in the genre. Please view them right below.
