FEBRUARY NOTES: We recently released the original Ella Fitzgerald/Frank DeVol version of Winter Wonderland; this was prepared from the set of parts used on the recording session and is faithful to the original instrumentation. This is in addition to the also recently published Jazz Lines Publications edition of Ella's trombone and rhythm section version of Cole Porter's What is This Thing Called Love, arranged by Buddy Bregman. Also new is Billy Strayhorn's 1958 arrangement of Come Sunday, written to feature Ray Nance on violin, as well as the newly-engraved edition of Alec Wilder's It's Silk - Feel It. The newest re-edited and -engraved Walrus Music Publishing piece is Bob Florence's Be Bop Charlie. We also have Nat King Cole's fantastic Almost Like Being in Love, as arranged by Nelson Riddle, as well as two different versions of East St. Louis Toodle-Oo from the Duke Ellington Orchestra, transcribed by David Berger. The latest in our Dizzy Gillespie Series is Pete Anson's arrangement of That's All. And we have another totally re-edited and -engraved Dave Pell Octet chart, Marty Paich's Mountain Greenery.

NEW PDF DOWNLOADABLE ARRANGEMENTS NOTES: Recently we added another batch of newly-available PDF download versions of some of Kendor's most popular Count Basie/Sammy Nestico charts, all of which are down below in this month's new release pages. We continue to accelerate our project to offer you the very best selection of instantly downloadable jazz and jazz-related arrangements. Already this month we have newly available downloads of our own publications from Nat King Cole via Nelson Riddle, Ella Fitzgerald, Dizzy Gillespie, Billy Strayhorn, Duke Ellington and Tommy Dorsey thanks to David Berger, Dave Pell via Marty Paich, and Bob Florence. Other newly-available PDF charts come from Thad Jones, Sammy Nestico, Bob Mintzer, and Phil Wilson, and we have arrangements of Booker T & The MGs classic Green Onions, Earth, Wind, & Fire's beloved September, a new version of the tune The Incredibles from the smash hit movie, Tadd Dameron's standard Lady Bird, and many others.

JANUARY NOTES: Other recent releases from Jazz Lines Publications include Ella Fitzgerald's Something's Gotta Give as arranged by Nelson Riddle, and two more from the Count Basie Orchestra: Neal Hefti's Cherry Point and our latest from Frank Foster, You Got It. More recent publishing highlights were the release of our first two charts from the classic album Diane Schuur With the Count Basie Orchestra, Frank Foster's arrangements of Deedles' Blues and You Can Have It. Also particularly popular has been Mike Tomaro's new arrangement of That Old Black Magic, a powerhouse level five chart featuring a slow, simmering shuffle/funk style.
