AUGUST NOTES: We are very pleased to welcome Matt Catingub back to the Walrus Music Publishing family of composer/arrangers. Matt is a man of many talents, he has written for huge names in the jazz, rock, and pop worlds, and has guest conducted with many symphonies in the US, Canada, and Japan. Please see below for our re-listing of many of his most popular arrangements.
JULY NEW RELEASE PAGES: July's new release pages contain a bunch of new Jazz Lines Publications historic arrangements, led off by some brand new authentic Count Basie charts. We proudly presented new editions of five charts from the Atomic Basie record: After Supper, Duet, Splanky, Teddy the Toad, and Whirlybird. These have been incorporated into our specially-priced complete set of all eleven songs from this seminal classic, so the record can be played exactly as it was recorded. We also released new historic editions of Cute and Pensive Miss. All of these were prepared using Neal Hefti's original scores and/or parts.
We also just released big band and studio orchestra versions of another Frank Sinatra classic, In the Still of the Night. We also have two more from Ella Fitzgerald as well, Strike up the Band and They Can't Take That Away from Me.
Finally, from Lush Life Music we have Kay Starr's original version of the beloved holiday tune (Everybody's Waitin' for) The Man with the Bag.
