Ray Santos studied saxophone at Juilliard before embarking on a lengthy career playing with and arranging for such titans of Latin jazz as Tito Puente, Machito, Tito Rodriguez and Noro Morales. He served as music consultant for the film "The Mambo Kings," and arranged for singer Linda Ronstadt's album "Frenesi."
